CMR modifies its crews for the GT World Challenge Europe

Just one week before the opening of the 2020 season on the Imola circuit, the Charly and Sabine Bourachot team announces the final lineups of the two Bentley Continental GT3 competing in the GT World Challenge Europe.

The COVID-19 crisis changed the initial plans of the Aleesian team, which will eventually not be able to align Arjun Maini and Erwin Creed. The first was to share the «Pro» car in Endurance with Seb Morris and Pierre-Alexandre Jean. The second was to take part in Endurance with Stéphane Tribaudini and Romano Ricci, as well as the Sprint with Pierre-Alexandre Jean.

Hugo Chevalier will join the Sprint program to make common cause with Pierre-Alexandre Jean. A Porsche France hopeful and national representative at the Porsche Motorsport Program, Hugo Chevalier has successfully participated in the last seasons of the Porsche Carrera Cup France. He will share the car with a Pierre-Alexandre Jean he knows well for having participated in the 2016 and 2017 French F4 championship.

Razvan Petru Umbrarescu will ride the #107 Bentley in Endurance alongside Seb Morris and Pierre-Alexandre Jean. The Romanian driver took part to a race in a Bentley last season.

Bernard Delhez will join the «Am» car in Endurance with Stéphane Tribaudini and Romano Ricci. With a great GT3 experience, the Belgian discovers the Bentley Continental GT3 this season.

They said—

Hugo Chevalier : “Since the Covid disrupted the 2020 projects, Charly Bourachot asked me to ride on a shorter program in the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint. I’m really happy to be able to join the GT3. I hope to be able to draw on all the experience gained over the years, especially thanks to the very good performances in the Carrera Cup.  At 20, it’s a great opportunity to drive the Bentley Continental GT3.  We rode in tests, I feel very good with Team CMR and the driving of the Continental was a great surprise. I was impressed. It is also a reunion, since I will team up with Pierre Alexandre Jean, we were roommates at the Autosport Academy in Le Mans during the F4 years. I think we’ll form a very homogeneous crew in Silver. Like the Team, we are eager to perform and aim for the highest levels in our category.”

Razvan Petru Umbrarescu : “This is a great opportunity for me to be able to work with such a professional team. I want to thank CMR for trusting me and giving me the chance to be part of this amazing campaign.”
